Meh, yeah, he could have said it nicer, but its kind of true, asking for a free game without a cash shop is like having your cake and eating it too. Too good to be true. Gotta remember these are companies trying to make some money :P As much as we've like to believe they're purely here to serve us, they're not.

oh they can have a cash shop, fiestas fine. but if they just made them a bit more equal. the archer is like giving a soilder a pistol and having him get whooped by a dude holding a knife, that didnt even ambush. They need a bit of logic. the sites ya listed are good, found a few good mmo's now i gotta read features.

Most games don't put much logic into that. The skills don't provide much tactic. You MIGHT want to try DDO (Dungeons n Dragons Online) they put a little more thought into their weapons and armor. Like people with heavier armor swim slower and drown easily (cuz it makes sense) same with weapons.

Unless you were meaning you have a particular hard-on against Outspark and their specific currency of SparkCash (SC), then you were meaning microtransactions in general. Any sort of free to play game will have a substantial cash shop. They're a business. People make games in order to make money, period.

And no, I'm not grumpy. I just don't suffer fools gladly.

Sounds good. Finally an MMO that actually factors physics, just wonder how that'll work out.

If you want a game that doesn't require you to buy cash shop currency then go look for ones that allows players to trade said currency for in-game currency such as all PW games.

But you'll probably be back here complaining about how you have to farm for the gold and that the exchange rate is expensive/outrageous. :rolleyes:
