Aye, that's something I can get behind. -_-

Though I was going to join the Scientologist church for S&G's a while ago. Never got around to it. =\

That'd be great if you have a lot of spare cash just going to waste.

Hyper 06-28-2009 04:29 PM

Yeah, that was a problem.

Jikanu 06-28-2009 06:04 PM

yeah... scientology's crap. if it was just that then perhaps i wouldnt hate them so much. but it's the whole internet terrorism and racism ans stuff that pisses me off.

Hraesvelg 06-28-2009 06:11 PM

Internet terrorism, LOL.

Jikanu 06-28-2009 06:16 PM

Yeah... the lameness of it pisses me off. plus they misuse the Guy Fawkes mask. Especially since Guy Fawkes promoted Religious Freedom. And if it's a refference to V, it's also misused since he had a 2/3 chance to be of one of the groups that they are racist towards.

All in all, they're just dumbasses who want attention.

Hraesvelg 06-28-2009 06:21 PM

I think you're missing the point of usage of the masks. They embrace the idea that V stood for, that power is in the hands of the people. Anon, love 'em or hate 'em, is the people (or at least a subset.) The imagery of a populace dressed alike, losing their own individuality in the collective movement as embodiment of the will of the people is a very powerful thing.

I also think you're taking the whole hate machine/racism thing a little too literally. I'm fairly sure the vast majority of it is tongue-in-cheek outlandishness for the sake of outlandishness just to get the reaction you're having. They like to shock for the sake of shocking.

Jikanu 06-28-2009 06:24 PM

If it is just tounge in cheek outlandishness, that just kinda accentuates their attention-whorishness.

And the difference is that V believed the power was for the people and didnt TERRORIZE the people. These guys hack the living hell out of anyone who questions them, whether it's the Burgoise or the common man.

Hraesvelg 06-28-2009 06:30 PM

It's a poweful force, to be sure. If used properly it can bring great things and if used improperly it can be terrible. Anon is more of a chaotic neural party that enjoys using its power for the sake of using it.

Jikanu 06-28-2009 06:34 PM

Sadly, most of its members are immature dumbasses who just want "lulz", so i doubt anything great will come from it.
