What Cleric would not add END? Thats like having a Fighter add INT. It doesn't make sense and its pointless. There wouldn't be that much that would be added to the weapons. Why not just add it to Mage/Archer weapons then? Or have it higher on a certain classes weapon than another classes weapon?

I wasn't questioning myself, I was asking you the question. Anyway, either you misunderstood me or I misunderstood you.
I wasn't talking about whether a cleric should have END or not. (Too lazy to go back and quote properly...)

i think a good idea would be give all non shield weapons a 0% block rate, but adding end adds to block rate regardless.
that way, non shield classes can still block occasionally, but because a fighter gets a shield and toughness, he will still block much more often and will still be a much more capable meat shield.

Thats nice and all but what about people who don't put points into END? That right there would leave out about 99.9% of every Mage in the game."

From what you said - you reckon that the weapon should have block rate instead of the END stat because if people don't add END (like mages) still get some block rate, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm wrong - ignore what I'm going to say. If I'm right - read on.
What I was trying to say when I quoted this was that if someone doesn't add END to their character, then they shouldn't have any extra block rate regardless of what class they are. Even if the weapons do have block rate, I'm assuming that the block rate of a mage's weapon would be fairly low anyway - making no significant difference... so, I don't understand how that will really affect the block rate when it's so small.
Hm, well I'm starting to confuse myself now. >__>"
