Its a personal opinion on what abortion is and isn't.
I'm also pro life and strongly disagree with abortion. And there are lots of people who were born poor who become great people for this world. |
That's not how you judge though. You can't judge on the "potential" of someone. A lot of bad people have the "potential" to reform their ways and integrate safely back into society but we still lock them up into jail. It's easy to play what-if statements all day long.

Yeah, the "they could become another Lincoln" statement is just plain stupid. They could also become another Mussolini. That isn't to say they will be.
As long as the foetus is completely dependent on the mother for basic survival, then it's the mother's choice as to whether she wants to keep it, because the foetus is as good as a part of the mother. |
a chance at life is worth it. besides, you're all not taking into account the people who are gonna donate a crapload of money to her, even though she doesnt really deserve it.
and vasu, in saying that, you're forgetting that children are dependent on their parents for the first 10 years of their life or so. just because they live inside the womb doesnt mean they're any less human. |
After working for a while in retail, I'm fully in favor of abortions up until the 75th trimester.

Well, I don't consider abortion murder because most abortions are done at about 12 weeks, and a baby doesn't start to develop brain activity til about 20+ weeks. Your brain is most essential to live. Don't got your brain, you can't exactly live.
But this isn't an abortion debate ^^;; I just feel if those kids stay with her, they will not get the love and attention they need and deserve, and they could potentially have a crappy life. |
eh. she seems like a good mom. she loves her kids. she's just an idiot for having so many. i think they'll be loved, but she's being incredibly irresponsible.

Precisely what Ralath said. The foetus needs the mother for survival, not the money of the mother, but after it's born is when it becomes "independent". As far as I'm concerned, infanticide is wrong, abortion is okay, IF the baby cannot be cared for. So I think this mother needs a boot up the boot.
