You say that like Halloween is a strictly American holiday...it isn't. It's origins are in Europe, with the Catholic annexing of an even older pagan holiday. Today's more secular celebration can be enjoyed anywhere, though. Just because Australia doesn't have a "native" tradition of celebrating it doesn't mean it wouldn't be a lot of fun.

but I agree that Halloween here would be weird...

and just because we dont have a native tradition, does that mean we should pick up someone else's?

I'm sure its fun and all but, it just doesnt seem to fit here.... yet..?

But i can see that 10 yrs down the track we might start hving this "tradition"..... the marketing plots for halloween is getting bigger and bigger.....
