I've been told, that I think this land is perfect.
I want to let everyone know that I don't think this land is perfect, I just like it a lot better than Amerika. The family that I'm staying with is a typical family here, and the style is something like this: The father wakes up, goes to work. Mother wakes up, starts breakfast, wakes the kids up. Kids stay in bed. Mother tries again, manages to get me and Anastasia awake, but not Marius. Mother finishes breakfast, and makes the kids some Brötchen with Nutella for school. We don't eat breakfast Oo. We leave for school, Marius chases us down like 10 mins later... 2 seconds before the bus gets there... Off to school on the bus, mother leaves for work. School is let out, we come home, kids work on homework while no one else is home... or if Anastasia has none, then we kinda just lay in bed together. Mother comes home, and everyone talks about their day... Father comes home, works on anything that needs to get done. Mother makes something for snack, and we eat deliciousness @.@ While we're eating, she starts dinner, and cleans something (kitchen, clothes, usw.) We eat dinner, then watch T.V for like an hour at best... Sleep @.@ /repeat. But you see... the family style is that we're allowed to be ourselves... we're allowed to show emotions that I believe people aren't allowed to show in Amerika. Even though I'm living in the same house as the one I love, the father has accepted the fact that I love her, and she loves me. We've known each other for over a year, and he likes me, as well as his wife. Since this all works out, they know kissing/cuddling/holding each other is going to happen since they themselves show such activities in public, they don't care that we do as long as we've done other stuff first around the house, homework, usw. Sex alert >.>; ninja text incoming... if you read this, you tried to read it... don't complain to me after reading it, yeah? =) Her mother was talking to us, and the kids from school were there as well. The kids told Anastasia while I wasn't listening that I was only here so that I can have sex with her, which Ananas told me right away that they were saying that about me. When I looked at her, I said "I'm not her just so that I can have sex with you." Her mother looked at us, smiled, and said, "Yeah yeah, just use a condom, ok?" She told me that she doesn't want me to have sex, but if we want it enough, then we'll find a way to have it, and she just wants us to be safe about it. Culture differences like that are seriously in my favour. Not because I want sex, and it's going to happen if I just say I want it... just allowing people to be people. In Amerika, if you start kissing the one you love in a public place... people say that you need to go get a room, or you need to cover yourself and do that in private... when all of the world can show love, then maybe it will change... Here in Germany you're allowed to show your love for someone else, even in the school it is very common to see couples holding each other whilst talking with teachers, and sometimes even kiss without seeing someone near them. The point is that everyone knows what love is, and everyone shows it at one point in their life. It's accepted here. They respect nature. They are a lot friendlier... seriously. You walk into the town, and you can talk to someone completely randomly about anything, and people are genuinely interested in your conversations. The public is taken care of SO much. I can walk down the street, and people don't have to hide anything from tourists. I know of certain areas and things that you'd have to hide someone from in L.A. if you were ever to take a foreigner there. People are people. I feel like I can be more of myself here, than I can in Germany. That's why I think this place is so wonderful. /rant. |

No, they taught us a safe sex... I clearly remember the banana and the STD slides. I always also shown a video how to properly check for odd lumps. In the other half of the class was the boys watching some other video, some tried to look over on our side though. Advice on things about condoms was given too... :x Plenty of girls have gotten pregnant at the high school I went to, it was nothing new so yeah...

@Booyah's ninja text - I've had some frds (asian) where their mum told my frds the same thing.. "be safe" LOL Not sure if that's a cultural thing.. I would've thought its the new generation of parents, accepting how our generation works... and trying to ensure that we do wat we want, within reasonable limits....
Coz i know some parents understand that the more they say "NO DONT DO IT!" the more we're gonna rebel :cheeky: but anyway... that's very nice of Anastasia's family to accept you so well! Have you met them before? |

I dont think schools are allow to suggest that you can have sex before marriage... Recently our aussie govt produced a brochure aimed at teenagers regarding drugs. It said "Drugs are bad for you, but if you really want to try it, wait till you're 18" its like @_@ OK that might hv captured the teenagers mind, but to say "you can do it when u're 18" from a public brouchure is like... wrong =/ ANYWAY! going off topic XD i wouldnt thought germans are closed minded.. i guess not! |
Quick momma/grandmother response to the sex matter. We do realize you will, but we discourage it because we know that in the heat of the moment safety will be forgotten and you then run the risk of STD or pregnancy, either of which can alter the remainder of your lives.

@Booyah: Most people around me are more liberal I think, because I was taught a little differently. But I think that's normal since the state and country are so big. Different views and the more similar people tend to gather in clusters.

Not saying that I'm basing a huge decision like that off of a trip I finally got to take, and see her... but really... it's like... the way I want to live. Germany//Türkei in the Football semi-finale =D Germany wins 3:2 and OMG FCKING AMAZING LAST minutes of the game @.@ So it was tied 1:1 at the end of the first half, and then Germany scores another goal around minute 68 or something, and everyone was all like, "OMGOMGOMGOMG W00000000000000000000000000T!!!111!1!" because Türkei didn't get another goal... 2 minutes before the end of the game Türkei comes back with a HUGE surprise, and makes a goal sending all of Germany like ._. Then in the last minute, Germany makes this fcking AMAZING goal D: Holy shit we were all in the hall again, and BOOM the walls should've collapsed from the amount of screaming, and jumping, and someone almost spilled my Pina Colada D: Tomorrow is the other semi game... Russia//Spain ... See you in the Finale Belaslav... may the best German win =D When they opened the doors to let people in, everyone was shouting "DRÜCK!!!" (PUSH!!!), but instead of it being like last time, the security only allowed so many people in at a time, and me and Anastasia almost got seperated x.x The guard saw her, and patted her on the head, told her she can go in, but then put his arm in front of the door when she tried to pull me with her. All I did was look at him, look at Anastasia, and say "Anastasia" with a look of ._. and he saw that we were together so I got in ;D Kids over 16 years old get to drink Alcohol, and to make sure, they ask for some kind of I.D from you if you look close enough to 16... well all I had on me was my Ohio Driver's Liscence xD After I explained that "Date of Birth = Geburtstag" and in Amerika, "10/23/1990 = 23.10.1990" then I finally got the red stamp saying I can drink. He let me pass, and said "Have fun *wink*" we got inside, got something to drink, and I seriously was like "omg Pina Colada = DELICIOUS" but I only had one =) They do this weird system wherever you go that if you take a drink to go, but use a glass of theirs, they charge you 1€ extra, then if you bring the glass/cup back, you get 1€ back =D I was collecting the cups thrown randomly, and I made 4€ tonight XD ---------------------------------------------------------------------- On the way back, I saw some of the streetlights not on... like the stop lights. D: I was told that at night time, they turn off the lights that aren't on major intersections, and everyone knows to assume just to be curteous, and to watch out. They turn the lights off to conserve electricity. <3 Conservation and <33 Environment <333 TSCHLAND!!!
