apparently my name was inappropriate. funny dakkon didn't seem to mind. then again i think Steam's first name is adolph so i should have seen it coming. but i digress.

he changed my name to something rather rediculous (schmuckers or something dumb like that) so i got on another char to go talk to him about it.

well he went into hiding so i started shouting. Then he disabled my shout command. My only way to get his attention was to make characters so i made one named BiteMeSteam he changed it to IluvSteam, which i totally saw coming (overbearing AND unoriginal, he's got everything going for him!)

I eventually got over it and created a new fighter with a completely innocent name (16Bit) then grinded him to just short of level 8 before the server went down. during the down time i decided to hop on Teva to chat with some buds and i found out my IP was blocked.

I attempted to go over his head and talked to dschang on msn but he said he didn't want to undermine the authority of the GMs (i already figured as much)

I created a spoof account and sent Steam a PM on outspark. i have a feeling rather than handling this professionally, he's going to once again flex his GM muscles and just ban it without a word.

I'm sorry Apoline players but steam gave me a reason to test my server crash. you may as well migrate now because until they find a patch for it, apoline will be unplayable as of saturday.

URGENT NOTE: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!
I just found out that some of us may be going through day light savings time this weekend. I figured this might cause confusion, so go to this site here to find out if you have DST or not.

One hour forward or one hour back?
"The clock moves ahead (thus, losing one hour) when DST starts, typically in the spring, and falls back one hour (thus, gaining one hour) when DST ends in the fall."

I am not changing the time in the post because some of you don't have DST. But if you do, please make sure you do change the time so you don't pop up one hour off. E.g. For the Australians out there, it's 12pm Sunday for us, but I'm leaving it as 11am for other people who doesn't need to change their clock.

I've also put this in the first post. Any questions or problems about that - I'll try help you out. Or just ask around, I'm sure people who live with you would know.

Where do you live and what time does your DST start? I was a bit worried for those whose time would be at 1am because for where I live, DST starts at 2am. So if your DST starts at 2am, then you don't need to move the clock forward. Or something. D:

Not sure, LOL. I don't think it matters anyway. Just tell people to check the countdown, and when it ends, then that's the time the event starts. HOPEFULLY everyone who wanted to participate will check this thread. e.e

As at 12pm here it says 3 days and 21 hrs...

the event should be 3 days and 23 hrs away... isnt it??

coz its still at 11am now time... its physically 4 days less 1 hr away...

daylight saving moves our clock.. but doesnt physically miss an hr...? XD if that makes any sense...

OK... that countdown should have Sydney time, 12noon 28th Oct Sunday.

Since the event is still held at 11am (GMT+10), this is actually 12pm in Sydney after DST. In another words, when DST kicks in, Sydney is actually GMT+11. And the countdown timer took in the effect of DST, so we have to put 12pm.

Essentially, the event is held on 28th October Sunday

11am (GMT+10); OR
12pm (GMT+11) for DST.

For the Aussies: Note that QLD is in the same timezone as NSW/VIC, but they don't do DST, so it's still 11am for any Queenslanders (though i don't think we've got any).

For all other countries: I tried to work out whether they change their clock backward coz their DST might hv finished instead of start on the other side of the world. But it's too confusing. So just check the count down clock once its updated XD

PS. Lemme know if this is clear or not, I'm trying to give u guys as much info as possible so u know exactly wat time it is at your area, but it might be confusing coz there's too much info XD just lemme know.
