As for parties ... I like to only party with people that I know. I think it was shadow_shot that started his thread of archer help in the outspark forums? Can't remember @__@ I asked him if I should accept pick up parties or not, and he said yes. I told him that I normally only solo/party with friends/guildies, and he said that if you party more, people that were once just "pick up groups" have now become "friends." And I reasoned that he was right. However, I don't want to party. At times, I have to irregularly log off without warning. I'm an archer, so that's not bad, but what if I was the tank? The cleric? Ouch >3< I would rather solo than let someone else down. And there are also a group of friends that always solo. I don't understand why you worry about it Yosei. They are a group of friends - they party, because they're friends. They probably understand each other more than other people do, and when one of them makes a mistake it's easy to trust why they did it and forgive them. With pick up groups, it's harder to trust and harder to understand their grinding patterns and habits. There's a reason why they have formed their own "posse." If someone accepts me into a party, alright =) Thank you, and I'll try my best to DD/tank! But if no one offers, alright then, I'll go back to soloing. I don't have a permanent party right now, not even someone to duo with. I know that soloing is impractical at your level, duo's aren't bad. And I guess you'll just have to be lucky and shout for a party or meet up with another lonely person, then you'll have a group back again. So I don't blame people for having a group they constantly grind with. Are you going to hate them because they have friends? As for Inferno: Wow @__@ Mages were always pretty impressive in my eyes, it's amazing now that they can be called useless when they don't have one skill. I guess just keep pounding away at it /shrug. There HAS to be someone that will party even if you don't have inferno xD |
I would just like to point out my opinion that aoeing is grossly overpopular to what it achieves. There are people who go online and they simply "cannot" gain exp to level unless they get an aoe party. These people have become shortsighted.
After that patch where they re-closed burning rock, I was at lv54. In 5 days I grinded to 60. (reached that yesterday and taking a break now.) How? Duo and solo. Meaning I play with (mostly) Omie and take between 1-5 mobs at a time. (5 is not really intentional :P) And no, we did not grind 24/7, have had plenty of time to do all the needed stuff irl while doing this. Granted, it WAS tiring, hence why I'm taking a break now but still, makes you think dunnit. :3 |
I'm not blaming people who have posse's, this isn't a "grawr I hate people who have friends and won't party me". Its not their fault, its not their job to party me. But I just dislike how it makes it even harder to find parties. I used to get spammed with whispers from people on my friendslist wanting a mage, not anymore.

Stop asking for parties nub. D: That's such the stupidest thing ever. Clerics have the same thing... but ours happens a lot sooner. We're not useful until we hit 47. Once we hit 47, we're only good for our buffs. =/ |
Then lower-lvled clerics are partied because people want more xp. There's too many clerics and mages anyway =/
Actually it's slightly worse. The ability that people want are mage's inferno and cleric's endure, but Endure is such that you don't have to be in the party to have it. Just ask an Endure from a higher-lvled Cleric, ask an endure for your heal-monkey and go on your merry way = / |

Though I don't gain exp as fast as AOE parties may... at least I can get more drops leveling on things that are actually MY level. That's the important thing for me. It's efficient in a different way and I'm in no rush to get to the level cap unlike some people. Guilds like Genocide in Apo are all about grinding from what I've heard. |

well its worst for us archers.... D:
at least mages are gonna be usefull (*quotes Yos*) when they reach 67. thats why its so frustrating for us archers...even archers cant AOE party in the battlegrounds because of that poison mist bug. maybe thats why theres a very few number of high level archers in the game now because of this situation.. (so tired right now. il edit this later! lol) |
