I'm struggling with this coz I wanna vote or Draein's but the saying turns me away.

Does one actually consider the words when voting or just vote the aesthetics of the image and creativity?

I look at what grabs my attention. If it makes me go "ooooohhhhh!" I vote for it.

I think with these hard topics that the contest is getting a little one sided...

The first few contests were actually fun, but now they're getting boring because well one person gets over 10 and the rest never have a chance to catch up...

But really, even if we don't catch up it's no big deal. I mean, the prize is to choose the next theme, it's not like the same people keep getting 200s for each win or anything. The pleasure part should be in coming up with your idea for the siggy and then seeing what you can do with it.

And this week I am running second place but the theme I have had in mind for the last few contests would not be the theme I would choose right now if I were to win because with Easter right around the corner and the time involved in the contest entry time-frame along with the time involved in the voting time-frame, I would save my idea and suggest Easter for the next one anyway. So, it's all good.

Pretty much agree with what Loki said on this. Plus, I really, really don't see how "easy" topics are better. There are so many other sites out there with SOTWs, many of them are so typical and easy - making the sigs being entered boring. It's like having a topic called "Anime". I've seen a zillion of anime sigs everywhere I go, it gets tiring and dull.

It's all to your own personal preference. If words are important to you, then go ahead and take them into account. For me, I usually look at how the words are fitted into the signature, rather than what it actually says (well, most of the time anyway, there are exceptions). Whereas some others like Spirit, might just go for whichever one that makes them go "COOL!".
