Nice poll title.

At what level did I first feel like quitting? 1-5, because Roumen is so awful and unregulated.

I just tried to speed my way out of noobland.

Well now that I think about it, I should probably clarify the 25-32.

I first made an END cleric which I gave up (and was the bane of my existance... now deleted), the second thing I made was mage. Around that time a lot of quests started being "kill large numbers of such and such elite mob", and I didn't like that much.

It also felt to me like a lot of monsters suddenly jumped a lot in hp compared to the monsters just before them, so my soloing ability died horribly, and the novelty of "yay jobchange!" had worn off by then.

Re: Yosei - I'm pure int, but I don't really feel there's such a thing as enough damage. That aside though, I feel that it takes too long to level the licence for a miniscule improvement in damage, when the only relevant part tends to be the critical bonus anyway :(

I would agree with this. I almost quit before even killing a slime because there weren't any really good guides to help me out with controls and stuff. The only other MMORPG that I've really played is Runescape, and it's beginning stages are VERY helpful to figuring out controls and what everything means.

It must have taken me half an hour to figure out that I could pan the view with the right click! I was wandering around the general area and couldn't figure out how to get anywhere. I was the SoG sign, but didn't see the stairs at first.

I kept seeing numbers appearing as though people were attacking things... now looking back I realize that they were poisoned :)

If you've never played Runescape, I'd encourage you just to create a character and play just the intro so you can see how helpful something like that is. It would be great for Fiesta and would ensure that more newcomers stay around.

Lol, I was such a nub when I first started off. I wasn't the type to yell in shout for help. I was stubborn, I was determined to figure stuff out on my own. Lets just say that little fanart I made of the adventure of a noob was inspired by true stories D: (not knowing how to use my skills, and getting stuck in my house)

@ Yosei, lol. Yeah, I hear you.

I think Yosei and I are perfect examples of why you should help out noobs. We all start that way.. and it's usually the ones that aren't shouting that have the most potential.

I can't count the number of people I've whispered while running past them in Roumen because they are moving "walking" on the wooden horse. "Use flotation stones!" :D But I was there once too.

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to the people that contributed to the wiki suggestions. I'd never had thought to spam on Magic missle 1 to get more attacks in as a mage... as well as several other tips that help me out.
