*sigh*. this is why it's impossible to have a mature discussion with you. There's no way to understand one another if you dont at first respect each other's beliefs.

...i used to think you were a good, respectable man. You've lost that from me. if you try to post something to spark one of these debates in another thread of mine, i'll ignore it. it's pointless.

So you respect stoning? You respect cannibalism? You respect animal sacrifice? I understand all of those concepts perfectly and I don't respect any of them one single bit.

No. You need to have an open mind, is what i said. And all that stuff ended way back when. Are you gonna persecute me because my ancestors lived in caves too?

Apparently you've missed the boat somewhere. I've always stated if evidence exists of the supernatural, I will evaluate it with due consideration. In all of human history, there has been no empirical evidence for the existence of such. We've been over this and over this. Until evidence is presented and verified, your belief system has as much credibility as someone barking at the moon.

Also, you might want to let the shari`ah courts know that stoning ended "way back when."

i was discussing Catholicism, there. Not Islam. there are still some that take it far too literally, and ignore certain parts of the holy books.

And of course no evidence exists. if there were true, certain evidence of God's reality, everyone would start worshiping him. that eliminates free will.

Your wrong Jik, I would not worship no god even if he did exist.
Those who would worship would worship under fear.

really? i wouldnt. I would worship him because he was my creator, and the creator of all that was good in the world. I would worship him for his sacrifice, and for his love. I would worship him for his pure holiness.

Not because i was afraid of hell.

Why worship someone else? just proves your a weak, follower.
If he chose to gave your life, be thankful and leave it at that, if you die you die, its how it works. If anything worship yourself.

We've been through the whole respect thing before Jik. I asked you once if you would truly respect a pastafarian. The answer is I'm sure, "No." Even if you outwardly seem acceptable, inside you'll be thinking, "What a jerk." Me and Hrae just don't keep that to the inside, because religion isn't something that stays in a person's house these days. People of one religion have a few seats "reserved" for them in colleges in my country, diminishing my chances of being accepted purely because of my beliefs. People of a certain religion are granted certain different tax cuts, making me pay more because of my beliefs (not that I pay taxes yet, but you get my point).

And atheists are accused of lashing out at religion and religious beliefs while there is obvious disparity elsewhere. I do not precisely hate religion, but I do hate how it decides my life. The day I respect your beliefs will be the day you show me exactly why I should.

Oh, and hi. Long time.
