It is still serious and scary when you consider the distance between the ends of the red line (Galveston, Tx to Gulfport, Ms) by lat/long distance is approx 350 miles (+/- any small amount).

We still only have a light breeze going on. It'll be about five or six hours before it gets close enough to be felt here, and by then it'll be just a good, hard storm. We might not even lose power at this rate.

I swear, watching the national news you'd think we were nearly wiped out again. I heard not 20 minutes ago a complete tool on Fox News (Shepard Smith, big surprise) that LC is supposed to get 24 inches of rain overnight. Er, hello...look at a radar map. The rain bands have passed. Some stations like that are scaremongering and then the others (like on the Weather Channel) are nearly orgasming over it. Weatherporn freaks.

and whoooos the one that sed itll be fine xD xD xD i was scared on my 1st hurricane then the 2nd one came, then the third then the forth, by the 2nd one were like wtf another one, this is stupid now, we went 2 months with no power. thats y i was walkin in em, they dun scare me in the least, unless i was near the coast.
