Well, you are aware that you receive rep points for completing quests right?

At level 40 you are able to buy (I think) permanent mounts but you will need xx amount of rep points for that particular city. So, choosing and keeping to the maps for that city will allow you to rack those up. And you'll also need rep points to unlock items at altars so again, staying in the same area is beneficial.

Jale = Machine Mount
Kaslow = "Chocobo"
Illya = Wolf

The towns also have items you can only purchase after having enough rep. I only got a quick peak... but you can buy blue prints and emblems, etc. And the general stores will also have buff items.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks, I'm going to choose kaslow for the chocobo xD. Saw some people riding it.

don't do the story quests just do the repeats and you level faster.

and i'm gonan start in kaslow so i can get the sword sprite then follow my normal repeat line that i know. then when i'm done leveling i'm gonna go to ilya and work on teh quests there so i can work on rep for the wolf.

No, the sprite does not determine where you start. But certain altars have sprites you can unlock... in Kaslow Plains the altar there sells the archer apparel and sword craft sprites. Some people may choose their starting city on what sort of sprites are available from the altars.

Leveling isn't that hard as long as you pick the class that suits your play style. I rarely used the exp charms from the cash shop so I was more or less just grinding on normal exp. The good thing about GF is that you do not have to turn in a repeat quest everytime to collect the quest items. You can stay in that area for an hour or until your pots run out... go back to town and also mass hand in your quest items. Rinse and repeat.
