Better growing up adopted than living in a sub-standard environment with a parent who makes decisions like these. The grandparents really should stop enabling this woman.

Ability to have children =/= fit parents. All the love and good will in the world won't put food in your mouth or a roof over your head.

edit: if my tone's a bit caustic, ignore it.

Honest, open adoptions are usually the best. When a kid finds out they're adopted, which is usually 16-20, they kind of freak out, and might rebel against the family. So if the kids had open adoptions and they knew the situation, I'm sure they'd understand. One of my sisters kids is in an open adoption. He knows we're family, and as he grows his parents will tell him his mom made bad decisions, did bad things, and this was the only way he could have a decent secure life.

...ill support her if she can actually handle all 14 (thats still... WOW) kids without making some of them starve or have no education >.<;

Jikanu 03-01-2009 02:22 AM

i honestly doubt she can. she hasnt worked since 1999. but luckily, CPS will be keeping an eye on her, i bet.

If they'd take Britney's babies away...

Jikanu 03-01-2009 04:48 AM

lol... good point...

Yea, i think open adoption would be best for the kids.
And once they grow up they'll understand that it was for the best. But it may be sad that they will never get to meet the other 7 siblings of theirs if they do go up for adoption.

Jikanu 03-01-2009 03:47 PM

not neccesarilly. an open adoption would allow them to communicate with their siblings and mom, and know about them, while under the care of more suitable parents.

“The house is on a cul-de-sac. It’s safe. It’s about 2,800 square feet, four bedrooms. I don’t want anyone to know where we are. I have trust issues. I know there are a lot of emotionally disturbed people,” Suleman said.

Pot, meet kettle.

Hessah 03-03-2009 08:14 AM

wat does cul-de-sac mean?

I think it's disgusting.

Having 6 kids, then having another 8 before the original 6 are even grown up a little? That's horrible. Like hell if she thinks she will be able to support 14 kids.

Jikanu 03-04-2009 10:01 PM

yeah... she's just looking for 15 minutes of fame...

FabledWaltz 03-30-2009 06:01 PM

Pardon my french but...

She needs to have her vagina sewn up. I find it absolutely disgusting that any one person can have or even want to have that many children. My mother had four children (myself included) and she could hardly raise us. We never were given financial support (as far as I know) and even with her and our ex-step-father they were barely making ends meet. We were always moving too.

...

I'm going to stop myself before I go on some weird rant. Basically, my point is, she should NOT have that many kids when she can not support them financially or emotionally. No matter what anyone says, it is physically impossible to devote an equal amount of time to each child (with that many children at least) and not neglect one or the other. These children are going to have terrible lives especially with such an idiotic mother.

I feel sorry for them.

This is sick.

They are messing in God's territory.

And he's likely to push back.

Kids are to be made the right way, Science will soon kill that way for more efficient ways.

To Senyx: In vitro fertilization is not necessarily against God or the bible.

On to my opinion: This is the perfect example of why stupid people shouldn't breed. If you don't even have a job, why should you be able to get government help? Now if this was an accident, such as Jon & Kate, I wouldn't be so harsh. They did not aim for sextuplets. This woman, however, was knowingly going against the reccommended number of eggs to implant. She knew the consequences of her actions. 6 kids is already a heavy toil, especially for a single mother. But for this action she should be shunned by the people already struggling to help her BEFORE the babies. It is very wrong for her to punish her first six kids. I can only imagine how much all of this media attention has affected them. I agree with everyone on this thread who said it was wrong of her to do this.

FabledWaltz 03-31-2009 03:32 AM

What I recommend is having her children taken away from her and then stripping her of any financial aid.

I agree, It's not a joke, She does NOT have what it takes to be a supportive mother, And i'm sure you'd agree if your standard of living was a small house with no job to speak of and nothing but "Hey! I was on the news!" And a bunch of wide-eyed christians feeling bad for her and throwing money at her.
