Well, it seems to me it was passed on through the swords of already infected members. Once one of them got attacked by another hollowed shinigami, they started to turn. Shinji got hit and only then did he start turning.

Anyone know when/if someone will put up a subbed copy of the 2nd bleach movie? I heard that it wouldn't be out until the movie actually came out in DVD.

Looks like the back in time thing is over with....who will they side with though. I was right! Aizen must have used his sword against the other shinigami to make it seem like he never left.
