HA

This thread = win.

But yeah... people are ALWAYS grinding in CP on the way to Uruga... the ONLY gate that I can run to if I don't feel like paying 10s a scroll...

And when I pull those mobs with me, they're like "DUN TRAIN ME!"

I simply respond "If you play on train tracks, you're bound to get hit one day."

:3

If someone trains me, I get out, kill the mob, and go back to shrooming o-o; Too lazy to shout "________ has trained me!" and I don't see the point anyways xD

But then again, I don't normally rest in the middle of a trainer hoar path, LOL.

If that doesn't equal pure, comedic genius I don't know what does. I'll be sure to remember it in case I'm ever in that situation.

I agree. Find a better spot, especially if you are solo. And I think people need to stop being pissed when they get trained unless it is one of those cases where someone is training you to intentionally target you for meanness, spite or revenge.

Sometimes travel from town to town can take forever if you try to kill down every mob you encounter in between (and the extra mobs that spawn before you get the initial batch beaten), so people need to accept that travel involves trains in most cases (if not practically all). There may the occasional person who has never ever traveled to another town without pulling a train, but I doubt it.

I do my best to not train people, if I am pulling a train & encounter others I jump off my ride and start fighting my train, but if there is an open path I head for the gate. Granted, someone coming along just behind me might think "Wow, nice empty trail" and then have to deal with the returning mobs, but again, if they don't expect that by now then they need to fine entertainment in something other than an MMORPG.

And, needless to say, I have been caught by the trains & the the returning mobs. I do my best and hope for the best. And if I see the train go by, I know it will be coming back real soon and I move accordingly.

And, no, I do not shroom up in the path and expect that I am safe either.

It's a highway, if you will, so they have no room to complain.

The equivalent would be like taking a nap on an interstate, and blaming the people who run you over that are going 70 mph or so.

Earlier today I was on my way to Trumpy Remains and went through the road where there's another path to FoS. Then I saw a mushie there and greenkies were following me, so I stopped, kill, and went away.

After that, when I went to restone, I saw another person AFK-ing. So I just decided to go ahead, since there's only 1 trumpy following me. Then the person was like "WTF SOMEONE TRAINED ME!" and I just shouted back "OMFG WHO'S THE GUY THAT'S AFK-ING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHERE EVERYONE PASSES BY! And btw, it's only 1 trumpy." And he started to spam noobs and stuffs at me.

Tell me, who is right and who is wrong. o.o

Actually, I would say that you were in the wrong for having a train behind you. For all you know, 15 seconds later, someone could be in the place where the mobs started following you, suddenly to have a load of them coming from the other direction. It may be that they just logged in and they logged out there.

One of my pet hates is people with a train of mobs behind them. If they can handle them, the should kill as soon they start following. If they can't handle them, why should other people die for your mistake. I think it is rude and disrespectful to other players.

Enraya 04-20-2008 02:36 PM

If there's no one on the path, I think it would be alright to train. How do you know that someone's going to pop up a few seconds later? You don't. It's just easier to train through unless you really want to waste a lot of time fighting all the mobs.

I never train people on purpose, but I have trained on accident when I don't know there's a mob following behind me or there's someone hidden somewhere. Not everyone trains on purpose, so I think people should start accepting the fact that not everyone wants to kill them. I know very well what it feels like to be trained, but you can't help it. Everyone is bound to train someone at least once, even if you don't know it happened.
