I guess I meant that you don't want the eventual drop off in quality kill your franchise's reputation. With every new release, it needs to meet certain expectations, especially if the previous games have been well received. Too much of the same thing just gets old

I think Portal is one of those guys that could get away with at leas another. The company is reputable and the games are simple, as are the stories in them.
