I've seen the other films and they weren't bland...

I tried to watch 5 centimeters per seconds and it was so friggen boring I couldn't watch it all. Then the Children Who Chase Lost Voices was better and got through the entire thing but still generally forgettable. I don't think they're nearly as good as Studio Ghibi films.

hmm well the top-rated comment for that trailer is:

"I decide to make her shoes that will make her walk a lot in." Cmon, you can already tell the story line is gong to be corny as hell.

Voices of a Distant Star was good too

Apparently you age quicker so maybe that's why you enjoyed it at my age.
