Mine was mostly directed at Zwivix, in the fact that it isn't really celebrated. Granted, there are various reenactments and similiar activities throughout the former Confederate States, but there isn't any sort of official celebration on the scale of ANZAR Day.

As far as the reenactments being celebrations? Hardly. They're reminders of our history, lest we forget. Give it 100 years, we'll have 9/11 reenactments going on.

how will that happen? driving planes into random buildings? O_o

In 100 years, I imagine we'll have some rather excellent special effects, much how we can simulate gunfire with blanks and squibs today.

so... giant computer simulated flaming towers? O_o

and how would they do it in the exact same place? it would be rather difficult since stuff's probably gonna be built over it.

it still wouldnt have the same effect as it did in the first place though, since there's no element of suprise.

*shrugs* medicine's getting better and better... soon you'll be seeing people thinking they're middle aged at 70.

I take it you've never been to a Civil War reenactment. A lot of them are more...earnest than accurate. It's more of the spirit of the thing than the niggling details.

You sound like my brother.

You do realize you could die tomorrow, right? Hell.. you could die in the next few seconds/minutes, and there might not be anyone around to help/save you or maybe no one would be able to. xD
