Dragonite is very awesome but pity it is so darn weak to Ice attacks like Golem and Rhydon are to water attacks.

I used to keep KOing Lances Dragonite on Pokemon Stadium 2 in one hit with my Kingdra easy and Id send his Tyranitar dead in one hit with Cross Chop :3

that was my reason too for getting bulbasaur instead of squirtle :D

I think I used zaptos on Lance
kept spamming thunder and 1hko all his dragons that way....

I think it's because more Gym Leaders were weak to grass than to fire or water?

I don't remember my first gen pokemon team... But I always started with a grass type because my brothers would start with fire and water.

I never got that far in any of the games though. The farthest I got was in Silver, every other version I stopped around the first gym. Except Sapphire, I only left home and reached the first town.

I played Silver first so... I don't know, guess I didn't feel like doing things again.
