It's in your Miscellaneous Options at the bottom.

"Disable smilies in text."

But that even disables the honeying and slime emotes.

When replying to a thread, if you look below the "Submit Reply" button, you have additional options.

Just check "Disable smilies in text"

Then if you type :D, it actually comes out as :D. But, you have to do it with every post that you make, there is not a way to default it.

But, by doing this, when you use :zomg:, it disables the honeying also.

We could change shortcuts to them, but I think there would still be people who like them so we'll probably leave it as default. Cutting the code with the [COLOR] thing is only needed if you have other emotes in the post. Checking Disable Smilies is easier if you don't have any other emotes in it. xD

xD yeah the colour thing is a good idea... I dont like the 'disable smilies' thing because I normally use quick reply D:
