It's used by the accused to rebuke the accuser and hint that they are trying to do what you just described. Sometimes the usage represents a genuine case while sometimes it is no more than a lie. It has little factual basis, but serves to remind the audience of what you just said with sarcasm/ridicule. It can also be used as a descriptive statement of factual events. <-- as how I used it.

Honestly, I don't know how I got the quests either. For the longest time I couldn't get them, just like everyone else. Then I randomly went and tried again and it still didn't work. There was no "Next" button. But when I went to walk away my mouse glitched and somehow another quest text window popped up!! And...well, I got got the quests and finished them....

.__. That's what happened....

I believe that various actions could have sent the same response as what would have been sent should you click NEXT.
