Yup! Unfortunately it's easier for people to complain than to appreciate... and generally appreciation is not voiced.. while complaints are screamed....

Wat's an effective way to show that we actually appreciate GM's work?

It's easy to show you're upset.

It's hard to prove you're thankful.

Yeah, it's a shame. GM's do, do a great job yet some people like to complain rather than appreciate. It's reality...alot of people are like that sometimes.

And just shrug off negative comments. It's actually a decent enough idea and effort.

And stop haxing in Project Powder :o

If skill is a hax, then I'm guilty!

Appreciation is nice but not necessary for us. Just don't make the GM's feel unappreciated. It's about how you word things. Suggesting a solution to your complaint always helps :) That way we can tell you why your suggestion won't work because we probably already thought of that =p

As long it's not always for event participants. That's the last thing I'll try to participate in... Whenever I try to go in there I'm standing like a newbie not knowing what to do. D: (Then comes SnakeEyes to snipe me dead)

Perhaps I should've gone a bit more into detail if I knew you were going to reply to my post.

Think of this as feedback for improvement on future events. I never implied that all the events were bad but some were to be honest not thought through very well.

Find The GM event whoever thought of this event deserves a medal. Unlike some of the other events this event you do not have to worry about lag and the countless people spamming revive please in monster events.

The monster events are good too but can only really be enjoyed by people with good computers who can actually enjoy the events without having to resort to Shift+Z. But still monster events like these can still be enjoyed anyway. Spawning Multiple Boss Monsters as once and defeating them altogether is fun regardless of lag.

But the reason I said the Legend Of Isya event was so bad is that event showed the true colours of people. With that event we saw most people at a complete disregard for other people when they only wanted to do nothing but grind and we later found out the first Legend of Isya cheated to Lv79 with file modification.

The weekly MVP event only causes more problems on events that are already going. For example at a Monster Event you get what you usually do at the event but on top of it we are now going to have countless people spamming "I'm here for the event" etc...

I can understand you are making more events already as people are getting sick of the same events over and over but it wouldn't hurt to take community feedback of some good event ideas and act upon that. It is us players that play the game mostly. From what you are saying it just sounds like only the GMs are only having the input in this.

Awesome, this is a perfect example of what we look for to better our service.

Weekly MVP is not an event. It's recognition to the players who do enjoy specific areas of our service whether it be in-game or out. It also helps create awareness to those who are blind to other parts of our service. The Weekly MVP is not entirely tied to our current events. We just so happened to choose our first category based on events.

Future categories could be:
- Someone we recognize as always helping new users learn the game.
- Someone who creates awesome posts/guides on our forum.

I mean, the categories are whatever we can come up with (suggestions are welcome).

yea but there horid lag so i wont be going sry

booyah8876 07-18-2008 02:14 AM

I have to say that the weekly MVP is a good idea in general, the first choice of the winner requirement might be a little debatable with peoples' computer specs, and so forth.

This contest will be cool, and unlike the Legend of Isya contest, it won't have to be person against person fighting... and I'm sure that if the GMs/CLs/CSRs or whoever are judging the contest sees that people are getting mean/angry or whatever... they'll not give the award to them...

I think that contests that encourage being helpful, polite, and teaching people tolerance and respect are good ideas 8D

I dunno~

for ppl with good computers =D
