You are right, Manz - just woke up from a nap and didn't put my brains back in yet. OK, this will be good then.

Which part of this description says anything about using a hat?

In fact, let me highlight:

  • Vegan Goblin, also known as the bomb in the mafia game. If Vegan Goblin is killed, they will explode, killing the person who killed them. If the bomb is voted to be killed off during the day phase, the last vote sent in against the bomb is the death blow and that person will be blown up. Human role who wins if humans win. Must send in vote during day.

I was told one round in that bomb kills whoever sent in the vote. That makes sense with what is highlighted, not to mention it's more consistent with the way that human voting works.

I'm not complaining about being killed; I actually think it works out better this way. But I am questioning the mechanics of it.

The legals had one legal send in the votes together. Teva decided there was no point in asking.. "Who would you like me to kill?" or whatever. Did the hat maneuver and that was Teva's final decision. It makes sense, really.

That doesn't make sense. There's no need to get the hat involved at all. The reason why we didn't want cillia to send in a vote the first day was because we didn't want her to accidentally get killed by bomb since she was Robo. The Bomb should just kill whoever sent in the vote.

Let me phrase it this way: If 1 person was voting for the Bomb, and the Bomb exploded, who would it kill? That one person.

IMO, the less the game uses a hat, the better. The hat relies on chance and that kind of goes against the idea of this being a strategy game.

The legals all talk about who they should kill next in PMs. Then they have one send in the votes. I think Teva was thinking, "They all want the same person to die anyways(They're a team). They should all have the same chance of getting killed (by the bomb.)" =\

I dun remember where I read it then. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that someone said it was chosen by hat. Either in post, or in a PM when I was legal. Can't remember.

Whoever sent the kill pm should have died by the bomb

I understand how being Legel works. o-o;

But your logic doesn't work for the human side (all the humans are a team, they should all have the same chance of getting killed by bomb). Clearly, the order of the votes and who casts the vote matters.

I believe there should be a PM floating around somewhere that says whoever casts the vote gets killed by bomb.
