See if locking the shape to a certain distance from the page works..

Right click on the shape, go to More Layout Options, under the Position tab, set Vertical Absolute position xxcm below Page.

See if that still works..

But when I mail merge I don't go through the wizard, I just go straight into Mailings --> Select Recipient --> use existing list..

That way I don't think it changes your page layout...

I think it kind of worked when I actually positioned the object in line with text instead of floating over text.

UHH SO TWO MONTHS LATER I figured out the problem =_=

there was this ONE STUPID IMAGE that stuffed up my mail merge, I don't know why. I inserted another image and that didn't stuff up the mail merge.

So I re-saved the original image and inserted it again and it worked..................

Seriously wtf. *rage*

I hate Words for things like that.. they just tried to be smart and make up auto corrects for you, which more than not stuffs you up!

How do you guys organize your email? Do you use colors?

I have folders set up under my inbox..

Anything that's already been attended to gets move out of the inbox into a "done" folder...

I flag anything that needs to be attended later, use category for when I need to mark a certain items that emails contains, like all emails with photos are marked Blue...

Oh man, I wish I could show you a screenshot my old inbox. I have a new inbox now without a lot of stuff because I don't need it yet.

But I use folders, categories (CTRL + 1/2/3/....), and flags. Sometimes folders and categories will overlap but multiple categories can be assigned to a single e-mail. Folders can really be anything that you want to drop mail into and archive away. Categories tend to be stuff that you deal with a lot and you just want to quickly be able to categorize stuff so you can filter off of it. You can also categorize your calendar so your calendar is color coded and you can quickly see if you're doing too much of one type of stuff (meetings with one dept. vs. social work stuff).

see at the bottom right there's a spot just for red flags. I kinda want something like that but for colors, it'd be cool if I can even have like "tabs" or something for that.

You can arrange by category if the e-mail is also flagged.

I actually didn't know this until I went to look at it.

We use Office365 for our emails but access them via our database not via outlook.

You see above your Flag list on the right it says "Arrange By: Flag"?

You can right click on that and go "View Settings", Click on "Filter" and under "More Choice" there's a Categories option.

I haven't played around with it, but I assume that's where you set your category list to be displayed.
