Belaslav 03-12-2009 11:45 PM

The first step is to admit that you have a problem.

O_o

Belaslav 03-13-2009 12:05 AM

You have no idea how much it hurts... unless you get at least 30 mins a day, it's like taking a shotgun blast to your stomach standing.

A_Forever 03-13-2009 12:06 AM

Err..........

Belaslav 03-13-2009 12:08 AM

Help me...

George Orwell FTW. Animal Farm and 1984 are about different things and have different themes though, plus they're written differently, so you can't really compare them...

Belaslav 03-13-2009 12:26 AM

/back to normal self

If you like books describing totalitarian societies, I'd suggest Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. And maybe Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Yeah, back to your normal self? Suggesting books where sex is string-free and on-demand? LOL. Brave New World is a really good novel. I'll suggest it as well.

Belaslav 03-13-2009 12:32 AM

I just realised the irony of that... Wow. :cheeky:

Jikanu 03-13-2009 01:02 AM

hm... i'll read up on wikipedia and see if they interest me...

also, another movie i want to see that surrounds those kinds of themes is Soylent Green... it looks rather good

They're about different things but you still critique them the same way based upon their merits.

Handmaid's Tale was very interesting. Liked it.

Vasu 03-13-2009 03:37 AM

HP was a good book, but it was the worst thing that happened to children's literature in India.

A_Forever 03-13-2009 03:42 AM

HP was a good book?

You mean series. And not just good, it was brilliant. >=(
