Mine's been Sheep for a while. We gave a girl friend a guys name as a nickname. And we recently started using it again XD

Nicknames are fun but when your nickname was "Kitty" at one point...my manhood feels like it has been stripped away.

Hey Kitty =]

Yami 08-14-2008 12:42 PM

Meow XD

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 12:44 PM

Long story short I use to cut my hair short and spike it. When I didn't have it spiked for what ever reason a girl rubbed my hair and said I felt like a kitty....hence how my nicky started. :sigh: Then it spread to a nice chunk of the girls who all started asking me if they could rub my hair.

Yami 08-14-2008 12:46 PM

At least it got you attention lol

a.L 08-14-2008 12:52 PM

I be Owl.

Yami 08-14-2008 12:53 PM

Well at home my parents call me Bert. Unless they're angry with me, then they suddenly know my name's Tanya again XD

Hessah 08-14-2008 12:56 PM

LOL!! funny how family often calls out your full name when they're annoyed at you... XD

Wait you first name is Bert? :err:

Yami 08-14-2008 01:00 PM

No, my real name is Tanya, my parents just call be Bert.

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 01:05 PM

Why they call you Bert? That just sounds a little bit dumb. :sigh: Sorry if that is offensive. Who wants to call their offspring Bert? :lost:

Yami 08-14-2008 01:12 PM

Something they started when I was like 1 or so. They heard someone say it to their little kid when he was tired. So when I yawned later on the day they said the same thing to me in that accent. Kinda stuck with me. But I don't mind at all. Never have lol

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 01:16 PM

I know but I would always wanna call you Tanya. Bert would never stick with me. :sigh:

Yami 08-14-2008 01:20 PM

Well it's pronounced a little different in Dutch then it is in English. Same as my real name. My ex was english (well he still is, but you get what I mean XD) and he has never even once said my name right, no matter how many times I tried to teach him.

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 01:26 PM

 That reminds me trying to say something that my Finnish friends says. I really am not good at foreign languages. :sigh:

Yami 08-14-2008 01:28 PM

Weird thing was that he had no trouble whatsoever with saying the "G" the way we do, cos he lived in Spain for a few years and it's the same as their "J".

And trying to say stuff in foreign languages is funny =]

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 01:33 PM

Epic Fail! I barley passed my French class my Freshman year. Last year I made a "B" though....so I guess I am getting better...or at least better at fooling the teacher.

Yami 08-14-2008 01:37 PM

I can speak English with an english accent just fine, but somehow I don't like doing it. So for my oral exam I had to force myself to speak like that. Got be a 8/10 though (we have numbers, not letters =D)

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 01:43 PM

like the French? Sweetzy they have a 20 scale. But us dumb Americans had to go all 100-ified. Not to mention we use letters. I am a "A" for absolutely idiotic.

Yami 08-14-2008 01:46 PM

XDDD

Imo, most American parents are too focussed on their kids getting A's for everything. I'll be happy as long as my kids will pass (just like my parents were).

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 01:51 PM

There is multiple reasons

1-Our system of grading is pretty easy compared to many other countries

2-Now a days there is so much competition with having this degree or that and they require you to have good grades in normal classes but even in classes that are considered extra extraordinary and hard.

3-Our parents just love forcing us to do slave work of school.

Please help us.

Yami 08-14-2008 01:55 PM

Move here. We have 6 years of high school =]

Well, you can choose to go there if you are smart enough.

There's 4 years, 5 years (which can get you into college) and 6 years (which can get you into uni). Of course I'm smart and did 6 years of high school then dropped out of college XD

And reason 1 means it would be easier to get an A over there then over here?

Wow....now why did you drop out? If I may ask without intruding on anything personal?

-Answer-

Yeah. From what I hear in France it is rare to get a 20 but here in the US it is easier. So like it would take the IQ of 140 in France to get a 20 but in the US only a IQ of 100 to get 100. That looks funny.

Yami 08-14-2008 02:06 PM

I wanted to be a primary school teacher so I went to college for that. Passed my 1st year with difficulty. In my 2nd year I miserably failed a period which got me thinking and I decided it's not my time yet. I'm not confident enough to keep the kids under control. Prolly missing a bit of general experience in life, so who knows when I'm older and more experienced I'll give it another shot.

Edit: weeeeewt it's time to go home. I'm prolly gonna miss the train anyways -.-

Blood Raven 08-14-2008 02:15 PM
