I've done that too - in Marlone underground - didn't think about the grave robbers hiding behind the tent till they nearly killed me and about the time I realized I was almost dead the chest popped open and I had to spam pots and stones with all my might! I did survive though - but crap in the chest - best item was maybe a T1 Blessed Elrue

MCH was where I got my first chest too. I got my pet there, the Kebing. hahah it was soooooo near the entrance~
