@.@ Dunno if I would say lucky.

Lithon 03-24-2008 05:18 PM

yeah, lucky doesnt seem the word for it, i would rather work anyday then babysit

Zwivix 03-24-2008 05:19 PM

Well you dont have to pay bills and stuff right?

Ehhh now that I think of it I would rather work than babysit...

Yosei 03-24-2008 05:19 PM

Especially since I don't get paid. I'm 18, almost 19. I can't go to school and I can't get a job because my parents can't afford babysitting. They always tell me they'll start paying me, but they never do. And even if they did, it'd be something like $10 a week.

I think he means in the sense that you are not under obligation to go to school or work. However, it is the case of the grass is always greener on the other side. He thinks you are lucky because you do not have to work or go to school, yet he doesn't see how trapped you are. You might think that he is lucky because he gets the joys of experiencing school/work outside of the home and you dont see how dreading it is. :)

When I lived at home all I wanted was out, now that I am out, all I want is back in, haha.

Ouch... Poor you. I tried babysitting before, and I can't last longer than 3 hours with the kid.
