i say leave it.. coz i'm bias LOL

Whether it is wiped or not, it will continue to be abused.

There are a few individuals here who didn't achieve their reputations by rep swapping, but earned it with constructive posts.

I say leave it alone, since the maximum is 11 bars and people will have that soon anyways, not that it makes a difference.

Side note: Wrong section. Technically this belongs in Site Suggestions and Feedback.

is max 11 bars?

IF.. only IF we do a wipe.. can we keep the old comments??? please?

Maybe, but with the new system in place, it cannot be abused to the point that it makes that big of a difference in everyone's rep.

I'm kind of undecided. I think the system should have remained as it was prior to being changed. Rep isn't important, it does nothing, really. So why change it?

But since it was changed, I think there should have been a rep-wipe. It makes it 'unfair' to the people who I guess wanted rep to have a harder time getting it, where as the people who got it through system abuse get to keep it.

Come to think of it, even if u wipe the rep, eventually people will get to 7-11 bars right? and then, the new members will also be unable to catch up quickly (maybe they can catch up, but it would take time).

Where there is rep, there will be abuse. But I have not seen cases of people with high reputations being asses in this forum, so does it matter? honestly i would not want my own reputation to be wiped, but if there is really a need to, i would say rather then reset everyone's reputation, reduce it by a certain percentage?

You really care that much about your rep...?

I have a feeling that people with rep will want to keep it, and people who are new or low will want a reset. I wonder why.

NotMyWay 03-05-2008 06:22 AM

Of course people with high reps will feel hesitant about restarting... but i wouldnt mind a partial reset/rep reduction... u will get it back in the end.

I think this can be compared to outspark removing the exp/rewards gained from the BR quest? They only removed the exp gained from the quest, and didnt do a full rollback (i think?). some people did not like this, but it had to be done to prevent noobs from being high leveled.

You do realize that those who abused it will get it back?

I won't point fingers, but I think we all know which group of people abused the system most. And I probably alienated quite a few people by saying this.
