:confused:, Tanking Marlone is not proof enough u can tank @_@ as a mage. Mages can tank true as long as there are just a few monsters on u, but y don't u try tanking as a mage in AeW or FoS, i think your life will end so fast u better not blink cuz u will miss the moment u get killed :D

Hi there. First, this thread was dead, it should have been left dead.
Second, I have also tanked in AeW when it has only been Loki (cleric) and me. Mages are not meant to tank, they do not have the defense or the HP for it. So, when we do tank it is a very good feeling.
And I am sorry, if I tank - I tank, it does not matter what I tank, and yes it does prove that I can tank, when needed. I prefer not to, because once again, we were not meant to be tanks.
However, I need to also point out that all of the previous comments in this thread were all said in a joking manner between friends. But, please do not say mages cannot tank, because I am proof that, yes we can.

If fighting 3 mobs at once is what u people here will call tanking than YEAH MAGES ARE ALSO great tanks, but the real meaning of tanking as far as i'm concerned is when u take on 10-20 mobs at once in AeW or 8+mobs in FoS, that is what i call tanking. And ironically the person who opened this topic is one of my best friends lol :/, so i don't think u should be telling me not to post cuz it was posting amongst friends.

First, I did not tell you not to post. I ASKED you not to post that mages cannot tank - meaning please do not start downing mages. As for the other stuff you said, I will not touch because it is simply not worth getting into that whole "tanking" issue again. Peopl view things differently, all I was asking is that you please not post negative things about mages. If that offended you, then I am sorry.
However, most of the things in this forum are all said in a friendly manner. I see that you are new to this forum, so you would not know this. But, you will learn your way around this forum quick enough. Most of us did and we are now all friends.

I apologize as well if in any way i offended u, cuz i really didn't intend to put down mages, i love partying with mages cuz grinding is just so much faster, but just like u said mages are not meant for tanking, and usually if mages end up tanking, i have to start looking for FUNERAL SERVICE :p

:D, we bounce back quick though. My playing style is if I go down, when I am rezzed, I immediately start attcking the mobs again - before I have even rebuffed and stoned or potted.

thats true u really do need mock and snear kick (2) cause the mage gets the agrro also the clerics which is weird cause they don't even attack but they still steasl my aggro
