but i have a question... wat's the recommended level for a cleric to join Mini Dragon? i heard that ppl get pissy if a "low level" joins.. but i'm hoping that being a cleric means i can get in earlier LOL |
Well, people at first were being bitchy like... "IF you're NOT a leecher join my party" kind of thing, but hm...I'm not really sure. Ask Lafieru, he'd know more about the clericness than I do. xD But I would say 47-48 maybe, since I could survive the dragon's AOE. You'd just have to worry about the fire but not hard to stay away from it. |

That looked like a rough ending though. Usually you have the suicide fighter who does a mock to gather the werebere masters and pulls them out of the arena.
The Minidragons firebreath deals a massive amount of damage. Most tankers who tank the minidragon need at least 3000 hit points to survive. If you have too many fighters in the minidragon then you can have a problem as a lot more people will be draining clerics due to the dragons AOE. In my opinion Robo and the Goblin King Masters dont matter much. What really makes or breaks a win is whether or not you can deal more damage than the dragon can heal. Most people have this preconcieved notion that the dragon only has 3 or 4 heals. If you cant bring his life down fast enough - you'll find he has a 5th and 6th heal. Also if you happen not to be a tanker but a fighter, your best off staying off to the side. It doesn't mean you dont fight though - when the dragon starts spawning mobs the extra fighters should run up and devastate them to acquire aggro, then run out of the dragons AOE. Let the clerics focus on the tankers, while you keep the tankers alive by getting rid of the mobs. |

Yeah, AOE stomp range is just a yard or so shorter than cleric's heal range, to give you an idea. The 2.5k damage fire breath isn't very small either.
As for what level, well . . . clerics should be able to survive the AOE at 46, but the definite lowest I would suggest is 47, because it's key to have clerics able to rebuff quickly when people die as much as they do in Dragon. Even then, the higher the better. You will get agro, and if you have two red mobs on you and the Dragon decides to AOE drop, good chance you're toast. That's not even counting getting agroed by the uber-mobs at the end spawn. So having level 50 armor is a big help, IMO. If you want to try it out earlier than that, go for it, but bring extra scrolls, full HP/SP stones as well as T3 HPs, and don't be surprised if you eat dirt a few times. (At the same time, if you're careful and stay out of range, it's possible you won't die at all. It all depends on well the agro is handled, which depends on luck with what tanks get in/don't.) |
