Sparky lives in Saudi Arabia, far, far right of even normative Muslim states. Women aren't allowed to even show their hair in enforced areas.

I thought Saudi Arabia was one of the middle-of-the-road Islamic states.

There's been definite progress but the situation is still terrible for many (especially women) there. I've read that the King wants to liberalize the country a little but is being blocked.


If you're a woman without a man there, you may as well not exist. It's also one of the countries that still carry-out death by stoning.
