Not always. There are tons of music being produced that is great. You've just got to look for it.

Although if you only listen to metal, it might be slim pickin'.

Looks like this was done on her parents' dime and not by a studio. In light of that, my criticism is a bit harsh. Hell, I made a filmed documentary about dinosaurs when I was 8. Good thing YouTube wasn't around or I'd have probably been roundly mocked.
