The thing is, I want a computer now. It wont take me long to pay off, if I pay 80/month it should take roughly 13-14months to pay it off. I'd rather have it now then have it in a year.

Then you've pretty much answered your own question from the start, no?
|
I guess. I was mainly asking if there's a disadvantage of paying monthly besides having to pay it monthly oppose to paying it all of one time and having interest (which I don't think is that much).
For me, having that computer 1 year earlier makes up for the disadvantages. |
Well don't you end up paying extra in the end with monthly payments? Or is that just for like... banks and interest or w/e o.O IDUNNO I DON'T DEAL WITH PAYMENTS D:

As for lirange, I would say get it directly don't pay 80/month. |
Just pay it off right away. Also stay away from Dell\HP\Compaq unless you want a pc that you cannot fix or upgrade without using them. The last time I had a Dell the Motherboard died. I bought a new one..went to replace it was cemented to the case.
The pricetag doesnt matter as much as whats inside the pc. My current pc is a custom built IbuyPower cost me a little over 700 dollars. Had it for 2 months so far with no problems. You should look into Newegg alot of nice deals there. |
Build your own, it takes about 2-3 hours. It's not worth paying an extra $200 in the long run for a new computer.
|
If he's got the lump sum now to pay it right off he wouldn't be doing monthly repayments!
|
It's generally cheaper to build is what I meant. Buying from a large distributor usually is not the most economic way to go at it.
