Aren't they fun? I've been having a blast going through all of the games that I couldn't play for the past few years and turning all the settings to "OMG, MAKE IT HURT" levels and it just hums right along. It pays to have horsepower under the hood. It IS a bit hard to lug these big bastards around, though.

Mine is nearly 9lbs (3.95kg). I feel your pain.

5-6 pounds is standard weight for a laptop, it's not too bad. My friend runs a 9 pound laptop or so, it has enough power to compete with my desktop.
