Actually, there WAS a sequel to alice in wonderland in which alice returned to a world similar to wonderland. It's called "Through the Lookinglass" or something like that.

Also, the idea of alice returning to a more violent wonderland is pretty well explored. American McGee, anyone?

I heard it wasn't the best, but I'll probably still see it anyway too. Looks pretty crazy. :)

It was also explored, rather well, in the mini-series Alice. How can you not like a movie with Kathy Bates, Tim Curry, and Harry Dean Stanton?

It was ok I guess.

Wouldn't have wanted to pay to see it in cinema though.

I meant to watch that, and despite how much they advertised it, I missed it.

I just came back from it..

It wasn't too bad IMO.. kinda got a bit slow at the end.. but it was nice seeing characters that I more or less recognised and how burton kinda added characters to them.. (I don't remember much from the original story..)

I suppose it's one of those movies that if you go in with high expectations you'll be disappointed, but if you didn't expect much then you'll enjoy it.. xD

^That happened to me with 9. Expected it to be epic, but it was very, very scarce with plot. Mainly just visuals...
