What are you talking about?

I am double blocked with him all year xD

I see him every day for English.

I am going to be so miserable the rest of the school year.

I hate my school. I really do.

This sucks. My grades will.. not probably.. will drop dramatically. Especially since its not going to be like the beginning of the school year.. the teacher isn't going to start off slow. I was comfortable with my teachers and able to talk to them. Now I probably won't have the chance to do that with two new teachers for 2/4 core classes.

I don't even want to know what is going to happen to my Adv Alg grade.. Ugh. I am just so.. mad/disappointed/sad

My brothers never had this happen.

We don't all get what we wish for ... put on your big girl panties and do it.

A_Forever 01-22-2010 06:34 PM

Is it your education? No.

This is the first year since 6th grade that I have gotten basically 100% in math class(es).. failed other years. Its only happened because of the teacher. Everyone I have talked to, who are responsible students, have said that the teacher I was switched to.. sucks. Majority of kids don't even know whats going on. He's also the teacher that is constantly coming to my ex-math teacher for lesson plan advice.

The history teacher I was switched to, is 2units behind my prior history teacher. Thats just wasting my time.

I can understand not being able to be picky in college, but my brothers.. when they had these issues in HS.. got it fixed. They never had a core class teacher switched in the middle of the year though. Thats a huge change, IMO.

And if even 1 lunch switches for me, I will.. again.. be miserable because my friend(s) is/are in A lunch. I had 1 class with my basically 1 friend. Thats gone.

Who wants to spend something like highschool, even if its for half a year.. alone? Although, I doubt my friends and I will be in any classes together next year because I will be stuck with more BS from my school and forced to take classes that just take up space on my schedule.

Also, I find that school is a hell.. okay? I have enough shit going on in my life, that I don't need school to be even worse than it already is.

LOL I have probably experienced alot more ups and downs through high school then you have. I know what good good teachers do, and what bad ones can cause, but what I have learned this year is your progress is determined by you, not your teacher. Sometimes your going to get ones you don't like, or ones that just straight up don't know how to fucking teach. My school is very big and usually I wind up in glasses without friends, you have to suck it up.

A couple years ago I just skipped all the time because I didn't like anyone in the classes I had, and this year I have had to work my fucking ass off to catch up. I don't know how your school works but I had the same thing happen to my time table half way through first term ... go see the school counselor and get it switched back, you do have the option for the most part of choosing what classes you should be in.

Lastly, no need to get snappy ginny poo, it's called tough love ;)

A_Forever 01-22-2010 07:11 PM

Point and case. You don't know how my school works.

And no. In math, my progress is determined on how good the teacher is. All other subjects are on me.

Phantom Badger 01-22-2010 07:31 PM

Liz, I agree with Mikey, If you rely on a teacher to do well in math then that is YOUR fault, nobody elses. You need to start studying and such outside of class. if the teacher is so important go talk to him/her and ask if they can tutor you or whatever, dont come bitching to us.

A_Forever 01-22-2010 07:35 PM

Its not my fault. Its how my brain is. And teachers at my school don't have time to tutor. LOL

Not sure what you are talking about. I study outside of class when I need to. For tests and such. This year, I haven't had to study for my tests. Other than one test, I have gotten A's on all of my Adv Alg tests. I'm serious, its because of the teachers teaching style.

7th-9th grade, the teachers were crap and I worked my ass off to learn it at home with the help of my dad and brother. But my dad works and my brother has his own life, they can't spend it helping me on math. Got a D in 7th and an F in 8th. Then in 9th, I finally passed Alg with a B- -ish

MikeyG 01-22-2010 07:38 PM

Teachers at 95% of schools don't have time to tutor, you look into student ones. I have trouble with math to but it really is just about the effort you put into learning about it..

A_Forever 01-22-2010 07:42 PM

Who would pay for my tutoring? :/

And this "rant" isn't just about the math. Its the history thing too. I would be wasting about 3wks-1mth just sitting in there. I am not retaking a test I've already taken and stuff. I am not taking more notes on what I have already learned @_@

And the double blocking of English has screwed me over. If I weren't double blocked, I'd have the open space for another elective. If I had that space.. I'd have the correct schedule.
