It's a good school. I almost went. I was accepted, but due to a few personal issues, I wasn't able to go. It's good to set high goals.

I think I scared him away.

Side note: MIT is in Cambridge, which has dreary weather sometimes. Weather is also a factor you should consider, just not as significant as academic reputation.
