Nope. just a racist old man attempting to distort the teachings of Christianity to spread his hate. Sadly, it's an all too common practice these days.
|
Ooh, I love it when Christians start saying other people aren't real Christians. I think, as a Scot, I'll go make some porridge. Do continue, LOL.
|
*Sigh* once again, you misinterpret what i say... im not saying that he's not a "real" christian because that's not my place to decide. im just saying, from what i've heard from him, he's nothing more than one who ostracizes, when Jesus preached a message of unity. People have distorted religion for selfish purposes before, i think this is another case.
Once again, it's not my place to decide, just saying my opinion. |
When you say that a Christian is preaching a message that is against the message of Christ, that's a pretty strong indication you don't think they're actually a Christian, wouldn't you say?
|
Well... it's my interpretation of the word. He seems to see it as a message that only those who believe in God are of an elite status... my interpretation is that all who follow the universal rules of right and wrong will attain eternal peace, regardless of what name they call whatever power is at work.
There's alot of interpretations out of there.. i just follow what seems to be right to me. |
Which really has no Biblical basis, heh. It's pretty explicit about who gets in and who doesn't.
|
Not by the time of Jesus. Perhaps in the Old Testament, but that had a lot of stuff that i question the full validity of.
I think what it means when it says that if you accept him, you'll gain eternal life is using him as a symbol for all that is good. |
Once you introduce that level of symbolism, the text means nothing.
|
Not neccesarily... It's not that high, since it also states that he IS God, who is defined by the bible as a perfect being.
To each his own, though. |
