I tried it today. I was off on my own in mara and I've heard of the same thing and tried it by chance. Either I was unlucky or it doesn't work.

ohhh ok... hmm I'll test it out on my archer 2night too..

maybe it only works when the mob doesnt aggro you in the first place... coz he was fighting the phino in FoM....
