16 characters... okay, brute-forcing is out, since it would take a couple of centuries to crack that.
Hmm... I know this is kinda obvious, but did you ever give your pass to anyone? Did you receive any strange emails with links? Do you have your email listed somewhere on Outspark forums, or did you give it to someone before the incident? |

On FF, your email isn't listed. You can contact people by email, but their actual email address will not be revealed to you. And you don't have MSN/Yahoo, etc. contacts listed here either... But even if you have your email listed on Outspark, your contact email is different from login email, correct? That's why she had to ask you.
As for the pass... well unless you went to some website that says "We'll give all prems and make you lvl 199, just give us you login info" (I think you know better than that), I guess we're back to the keylogger theory. Turn off your internet connection (or pull the plug), and scan again. Some crafty loggers change their signature to make them invisible by contacting their home server during scans. |
Hrmm.
I tried the scan while disconnected. Got nothing. So i can only conclude one of two things: 1. Somehow, My password, As large as it was, Was figured out, Could have been a contact, could have been a guess from anything i post in any other numerous amounts of sites. 2. There is a Client that can help you find the password, Or a lost passowrd, Insert ID here kind of thing. In that case, I need to switch e-mails entirely. I dunno, My acc. is safe now, But it still baffles me. |
Hang on... recovery! Did you by any chance give her the answer to your recovery questions? Like if your question was "Mothers maiden name?", did you ask you in a convo something like that?
|
No, But i told her my real name, And I think that's just what did it.
Dang, it's sad when not even your own name is safe T_T Brb, going to change some stuff. |
Doesn't the password that you recovered get sent to your email?! So unless she has access to your email too, she shouldn't have been able to get your password via password recovery....?
