When you're AOE Misting... the speed of the weapon is irrelevant as your speed would be the Cool Down of your skill...

so basically it's making something bad into mediocrity or making something good better?

EDIT: also, yes, i understand that, but we're talking about damage to a single target. the X-Bow OBVIOUSLY has its advantages over it, i.e. aoe damage and kiting, but bows have the advantage of better singular damage.

If SP isn't a factor, then I bet the AoE mist would make up for (and overcome) the damage lost by quicker bow. Doesn't matter if you're talking about singular or multiple target.

ah, but if you're using AOES, then you waste sp, and therefore money. plus im pretty sure it acctually takes about 1.7-3 seconds to cast a fully powered multishot... im not sure though...

Mist is inst-cast. It's more useful anyway.

And yeah, you waste more money but that really wasn't the question. On the flip side, you might kill faster so you make more money.

But eventually at 75 you dont use multi shot just mist and piercing instant casting back to back if you have max cooldown on both.

@Hess: when aoeing and using nature speed I shot 1 to 2 shots between any skill so it actually helps.

meh. im still pro-bow, but you guys are probably right XD

but still, is it possible that if you're shooting normally, the bow will out crit the xbow?

I guess that depends if you're kiting then.. I solo a lot on my archer... so I don't stand to shoot normal shots coz I'll die LOL! I have to be on the run....

but yeah I see your situation too...

I was only saying that tanking and using NS you get some extra hits. Of course you dont use it when kiting

@Jikanu: Also not saying that bows are bad I used one a bow lv 30-69, but people with xbow always out damaged me. Guess I just wanted to be a better back up tank.

Ohh I havent got NS yet.. is that why people go back to bow after level 60?
