A lot of cartoons do. Cartoons like Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life were looked down upon, so they learned to be a little more subtle.

I watched the Powerpuff Girls episode xD I remember watching it before bed when I was younger.

Ren and Stimpy was...ok. Wasn't my cuppa. I preferred Transformers and Thundercats, then Animaniacs and Tiny Toons, with a little TMNT...OK, I admit. I watched a lot of cartoons back in the day. Back when we had them on Saturday morning, before we had a fancy channel called Cartoon Network. Hell, I remember the early days of Nickelodeon. Pinwheel rocked.
