Never confuse fanbase and popularity with quality. How many seasons of American/Pop Idol have there been? But hey, to each their own, right?

Lots of people -like- that show though...

Hraesvelg 12-17-2008 04:29 AM

That's my point. American Idol is a load of rubbish, but a ton of people still love that show. Millions upon millions watch and call and vote. It doesn't make it not rubbish, though. My only real point is that the first episode really doesn't do anything to pull me in. I realize it's satire, but I suppose it hits a bit close to home since I do know people who are somewhat like that.

Mm, I get what you're saying now.
I guess we'll agree to disagree

Back like 4 years ago, I remember there was a 'save the pwnerer' chrisis because I guess the word "pwnage" was going to be copyrighted.. And he was going to have the change the whole pwn- aspect of his show and it made everyone have a cow.

My only thought was, "how in the hell can someone get away with copyrighting 'pwnage?'
:nahnah:

If they were using it in a business context, I could see them getting away with registering it as a trademark. They'd have to show when they started, etc. Look at Apple. How can they get away with trademarking a fruit? The same way Apple records did, I suppose. Boy was that a fun lawsuit.

They trademarked the whole apple?
Or just in their format? (Like my avatar)
