Yeah..

Apparently:

Wii > Mans life.

Why would you bring a gun to a TOY STORE?!?!?!?!?!

Enraya 11-30-2008 06:43 AM

Wow =T
It's repulsive how people actually stepped over the body of worker and continued going in to shop. Makes you wonder where peoples' morals are.

From what I was reading, the shooting incident at Toys R' Us was probably gang related and not from the frenzied shoppers. I can't imagine anything at Wal-Mart that would be worth killing someone over. I've done the Black Friday rush a few times, it can be kinda fun. Like going to Pamplona without the airfare.

Their choice.

it just sickens me to think that people are that damn greedy and inconsiderate. I purposely avoid those idiots. I try to do all my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving and what I do not finish, it is called on-line shopping. It seems like ever year, they report about a shooting death here at the local mall... over Parking spaces. Get real people.

Would this be because you heard your momma refusing to shop between Thanksgiving & Christmas because "That's when all the Crazies are out there"?

And back before I decided to avoid that time of the year what I generally found was that retailers advertise mega deals with the fine print stating "Limited Quantities Available", but when you get there you find there was only one or two available at that price to begin with. Just not worth the risk or headache IMO.

I have avoided that specific period of time shopping for years. Of course now it doesn't matter as much since I can do a lot of shopping online.

omg...u guys r scary. Americans shud bgrateful 4 wat they got n learned fr various trials and tribulations u'v gone through yet this behaviour is .....more han dissapointin my eyes were practically poppin out wen i saw al the otha comments :( clearly the end is near andits got me pissin my pants:cries::cries:

I find that kind of offensive. I think I know what you were trying to say, but saying "u guys" and referring to it as "Americans" is like you're grouping us all together. Not all Americans are like this. But yeah, our economy sucks right now, so yeah, a lot of people are trying to take advantage of sales. But I guess there are those who take it overboard.

Out of safety (my own) and post BF deals, unless it's online, I do not shop on Black Friday. Even if also in a smaller city (Lincoln, NE) I still don't really go out to shop.

I do sympathize w/ the man's family, as well have some contempt for those who cared more for their bargains, though admittingly I could see myself in both sides (More the prior than the latter, with my balance and mobility issues, but then I can get pretty nasty when I'm knocked down).

As for the Toys r' Us shooting, I've read that it all started when women w/ the two men (girlriends?) got into some brawl neat the checkout lines.

Amazing how such behavior can overshadow the more better qualities of the Season.
