So right now i'm worried, but does anyone have the minimum and reccomended specs for fiesta so i can see if my computer is just being weird or if this is normal. I'm sure they are on the outspark website, but opera breaks that page and i uninstalled IE.

games have the habit to never go into idle. In other words: taking all the cpu time they can get. To solve these problem ether lower the priority of fiesta, or raise the priority of the player.

To do that, press [ctrl][alt][del] at the same time. These way u open up the process manager.
There u go into the "Processes"-Tab, there u can see all the running Processes.
Right click on ether "fiesta.bin" for fiesta or "wmplayer.exe" for windows media player and choose a Priority.
Lower the Priority to let other processes speed up, or raise its Priority to speed up the process.
The best is if u raise the Priority of "wmplayer.exe".

Note: Do never raise the Priority to the highest level, unless u know what u are doing. Raising the level a little is mostly enough.

Ares works fine with fiesta for me... even thought it is a p2p sharing program.

Hrm, good thread - the SLI bit is interesting. I'll have to keep it in mind, since I just ordered a new SLI computer. I'll be very sad if I have performance issues on that ;_;

I'd recommend canceling the order if possible. SLI doesn't give as much a performance gain as you'd think it gave as most games have little to no support for it. Add in the fact that many games have problems with SLI, I don't find its worth it at all. Performance gain in SLI is just not worth the money spent. You'd gain more performance, save yourself the headache from problems, and save a bit of money, if you were to get one *better* video card (such as a single 8800 GTS/GTX, ~$270/$500) than going SLI with say, 8600 GTS (~$170 x2 = 340 total).

i have been looking into that quite a bit. thanks for pointing that out kixira.

when the 7000 series nvidia cards come out in december, i'm likely only going to buy one, so you just saved me a sizable amount of cash.

Eh ? I don't really see the point in this post but, Fiesta isn't a demanding game one bit in terms of Specs. It has about the same specs as World of Warcraft and that doesn't seem to bother 8million people.

KY_Jelly 09-27-2007 07:25 PM

it was an issue of screenlag caused by my SLi. the problem has long since been solved.
