Hmm... Don't really have an opinion. I do think he's old enough though and it's not like doing the dishes is difficult.

When I was young, about 8, I wanted to do the dishes for some odd reason I don't remember. My mom wouldn't let me though since she was afraid I would drop things. I also would rather clean parts of the house when I was bored back then. I didn't do much, swept here, swept there, wiped the tables; just simple things because there was nothing else I felt like doing. Then I grew up a few more years and found new hobbies, haha.

Yeah well, I dont do anything at home either, coz my mum never asked...

but i'm spoilt as hell and its probably not a good thing for me coz I dont know how to do anything

I personally think its a good practice for them, and learn to look after themselves... after washing dishes, he can help with te laundry, and cooking, and vacuuming XD

When I... we were younger my mom would set up a chore chart. We would keep track of how many chores we did and at the end of the month got an allowance for it. Each tick equaled 25 cents.

That being said my brother never did chores unless we forced him to. Even then it was better off if we did it ourselves... he was and is still the baby in the house at age 16.

All I can say to the guys in here that are ducking chores...you'll get laid a lot more if you have a clean pad. It is in your best interest not to be too much of a slob.

heh, this may come as a surprise, but i'm not really looking to "get laid" any time soon. i don't have time/don't feel like being bothered with any other commitments right now and a one night stand seems pointless to me.

Well I just hope that when you do find that girl you want to impress... that you'd know how to clean up your place. O__o

Destrus 10-16-2008 07:00 AM

i know how to clean (i think), i just choose not to xD

You might want to learn the old axiom "You play how you practice."

Destrus 10-16-2008 07:03 AM

well, i do have to clean up my room before my parents come every break (except one break i just said screw it) and i usually do a good job... though my parents still think it's messy but parents just have an unrealistic expectation of cleanliness:smarty:
