May I please remind you all to read the rules before drawing up your entry.

  • Size limit: Approximately within 700 x 700 pixels range. Doesn't have to be entirely accurate, but we don't want you to submit a 1000 x 1000 pixels picture. We may resize your picture if we consider it to be too big.
  • Do NOT submit in .bmp format please. JPG or PNG or GIF would be good. BMP makes the files too big.
  • Use another colour to draw the rest of the picture so we can see the original squiggle clearly, e.g.

  • Do NOT colour your picture. If you colour over the squiggle, it loses the point of the scribble, i.e.

The main point of the rules is to have the original squiggle remain clear and easy to see. Please read the rules carefully before drawing your entry up. We don't want to turn your entry down again and again because it does not comply with the rules. We know it takes effort to draw, so we would like it too if you can get it right the first go.

I was thinking... that I might use photoshop, and draw my own squiggles in a different layer (and colour)... then put the original squiggles on the top layer so its obvious.....

Blaaaaaaaah 06-19-2008 01:26 AM

Hmmm... does everyone really want to colour?

You have to remember that the outlines don't have a transparent background so you'll have to rub out all the white background to isolate the outline.

But, it seems that colouring the picture is an interest to some members, so I'm going to revise the rules with the other mods first.

Mean while, just brainstorm ideas! =]

Hessah 06-19-2008 01:28 AM

I meant... different colour line for MY squiggle... not colouring....

i liked the original idea about just lines.. makes it simplier... for us non-artistic people XD

Blaaaaaaaah 06-19-2008 01:34 AM

Ah okay, I thought you meant colouring in. @_@"

But yeah, so far I don't think we're going to change the rules for anyone that's interested in colouring. As Loveless had said, it's a Squiggle contest, not a colouring in contest.

issit ok to use more than one color for the lines?

Yes.

Just to clear that up, edited my first post:

Though it grammatically doesn't make sense... =P
