As someone who was forced to grow up on country music, I'd say she's a fine example of a true country musician. It's just that country music has been over run by the same copy/paste misogynistic 'where are my blonde haired blue eyed bunnies?' beer guzzling hicks for quite some time. She is the youngest person to be invited to the Grand Ole Opry which is a major honor for musicians because they're about preserving the true roots to the country and folk genres.
